Every winter, migratory seagulls take over Mumbai’s coastline, making for a pretty cool sight. So, I decided to head out early and capture them in 180 FPS slow motion—just for the love of shooting.
A Relaxing Shoot at Gateway of India
With my Canon R6 Mark II, I shot these birds in RAW at 180 FPS, later tweaking the footage in Final Cut Pro. The Gateway of India was the perfect spot, with the soft morning light making everything look even better.
Why Slow Motion?
There’s something satisfying about watching birds in slow motion—every flap, every glide, every little movement feels way more cinematic. It’s just fun playing with the camera and seeing what comes out of it.

I put together a short video of the best shots [insert YouTube link]. Along with the video, you can also check out some amazing photos I clicked during the shoot. If you enjoy slow-motion nature videos and photography, take a look and let me know what you think!
Final Thoughts
This was just one of those shoots where I got to enjoy the process—no big message, just my love for cameras and capturing cool moments. Looking forward to doing more of these!
